Joe Daurril, webmaster emeritus
Following a 3-year pre-Vietnam
tour in electronic countermeasures with the USAF, 1965 saw him initiate a career in data
processing under LBJ’s Manpower Redevelopment Act. Several times a Manager-Programmer and/or Systems-Programmer
with IBM typically in academic environments, his work with mainframes ended
in the early 80's. He had been actively involved in Tampa's Public Access
since its inception (click photo), until TBCN’s management disenfranchised City producers. As a cradle Catholic recently received into the Episcopal Church, he hopes he may continue to extend
his devotion to the more Protestant elements of his earlier ecclesial affiliation. An only child with no living
kin, Sunday morning at St Andrew’s provides him a singular opportunity for
the vicarious enjoyment of family life. Joe has recently been a full-time
senior auditing HCC’s Computer Science offerings, striving to maintain and improve
currency in his also adopted avocation. In addition to serving this
community as its webmaster, he is open to the prospect of actual sometime
computer-related employment somewhere. |
